The Sleeping and other epidemics
The Sleeping is the best tone and beat deaf band ever. The only reason I like them is because they have good lyrics. Speaking of good lyrics, most people today don’t even pay attention to them. When people ask me “Why do you like My Chemical Romance or Coldplay?” I tell them, “The lyrics are excellent, they tell stories.” When I choose my music, I make sure that it tells a story, not just that it sounds good. This is the reason I don’t listen to rap, its all the same. Example: Yo I just fucked up my bitch cause she aint done make me a sammich dawg. Thats not interesting, thats not nice to hear. Music started as a way to tell stories, not to tell about how you fucked yo bitch hoe up. Yeah, you and every other ignorant rapper.
So next time you listen to your music, ask yourself: does it tell a story? are the lyrics connected? does it mean anything to you?
